MoldWorks is used primarily to reduce the cycle of design and construction work. The time for assembling a mold in the MoldWorks system takes several hours, as opposed to 1.5 - 2 weeks for conventional design, even with the use of a computer.
MoldWorks helps to optimize the size of the package and the location of its nodes, in place to edit individual components of the mold.
With manual design, the designer cannot guarantee the full performance of the structure at the stage of its development, which is quite difficult to do when working with individual drawing views. As a result, the mold is subjected to repeated testing and fine-tuning in the tool shop.
In the MoldWorks system, it is possible to analyze the collectibility of the mold and the operability of its nodes, provide for the intersection of the work of individual parts in the mold (ejectors and side bars with a joint working area).
A large percentage of scrap in the manufacture of molds is associated with designer errors in the calculation of the cooling system. MoldWorks analyzes wall thicknesses to help avoid cooling holes intersecting with other holes.
